A short checklist for calling a break genuine
Before you wait for a retest, decide whether the break itself earned attention.
We ask three questions in class: Did price clear the structure with a decisive candle or range? Was there follow-through beyond the first print? Does the original structure still make sense on your chosen timeframe?
If the answer to any question is weak, we mark the event as a probe—not a breakout worth planning a retest around.
